CIMI – The Center for International Migration and Integration is recruiting medical interpreters to help migrant workers in Israel access the healthcare system. Language is often the single biggest barrier to getting medical care, and these interpreters bridge that gap directly.
CIMI is a Jerusalem-based non-profit, founded by JDC-Israel in 1998, that works on migrant-worker welfare, asylum, and anti-trafficking, and runs a long-standing multilingual call centre for foreign workers.
The role#
- Translate documents and mediate between patients and healthcare staff.
- Part-time with flexible hours.
- Paid position with full professional training provided at CIMI’s expense.
Who fits#
- Native or fluent speaker of Mandarin, Thai, Hindi, or Sinhala.
- Reasonable command of English or Hebrew.
How to apply#
Send your CV to [email protected], indicating your language and the position name (“Medical Interpreter”). More details at bit.ly/cimi_interpreters. Start date is immediate.
