The Department of East Asian Studies at Tel Aviv University is hosting a Japan Evening (ערב יפן / 日本の夕べ) — a relaxed evening dedicated to Japanese culture, complete with Japanese food and tastings. It takes place on Wednesday 24 June 2026, 18:00–20:00, in Gilman Building, Room 223 on the Ramat Aviv campus.

What to expect

The event brings together students, faculty and anyone curious about Japan for an introduction to Japanese culture alongside Japanese food and tastings. It is an accessible, community-friendly evening rather than a formal lecture — a chance to experience a slice of Japan on campus.
